We are looking for an experienced Localization Engineer to support our customers and production team. This role will be responsible for setting up and managing memoQ Project Templates, Plunet workflow templates, and other localization platforms to automate processes.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Localization Engineering concepts, including file types, preparation filters, project scope assessment, translation memories, QA settings, regex, and CAT tool analysis.

This is a 100% remote role, and the ideal candidate should be available to work 9 am EST to 5 pm EST.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and manage memoQ Project Templates, Plunet workflow templates, and other localization platforms (e.g., Translation Proxy, Website Translation Platform) to automate processes.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Localization Engineering concepts, including file types, preparation filters, project scope assessment, translation memories, QA settings, regex, and CAT tool analysis.
  • Work with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Azure DevOps) to manage and resolve assigned tickets per defined processes and SLAs.
  • Interface with customers, project managers, and sales teams to understand client requirements and propose creative solutions.
  • Analyze project scope and suggest approaches to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and improve quality and efficiency.
  • Prepare project deliverables (e.g., documents, websites, software) for translation, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage translation memories and ensure their effective use in projects.
  • Provide desktop support and address basic IT needs as required.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in localization engineering with a strong knowledge of the translation workflow cycle.
  • Mastery skills in translation memory tools such as memoQ, Trados or other common CAT tools, is required.
  • Advanced knowledge of XML, HTML and XLIFF formats.
  • Previous eLearning experience.
  • Experience with Plunet is ideal.
  • Experience with coding language (such as Javascript and Node.JS) is a big plus.
  • Ability to gain quick fluency on technologies used by clients in various industries.
  • Ability to trouble shoot technical issues.
  • Desire to drive process and efficiency improvements.
  • Clear, concise communication skills. Excellent listening skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • Passion, humility, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-starter.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
