We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Christus Health. As an inpatient pharmacy technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
About the Role:
- Provide technical support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals in preparing and dispensing medications.
- Process prescriptions, restock medication devices, and maintain accurate records.
- Learn and implement hospital pharmacy protocols and procedures, including sterile and non-sterile compounding.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Requirements:
- HSD or equivalent required; hospital experience preferred.
- Register as a non-certified technician with the NM Board of Pharmacy and obtain national pharmacy technician certification licensure within 1 year from date of hire.
- Effective verbal and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and familiarity with medical terminology, math, and reading comprehension.
Nature of Supervision: Responsible to: Pharmacy Director/Manager.
Environment: Bloodborne pathogen exposure possible; occasional exposure in daily duties. Low risk for infectious disease.
