Environmental Specialist

As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the environmental and permitting activities for the Taca Taca project, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and laws.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental engineering, mining engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record of experience in EIA preparation, audits, and Environmental Management and Compliance Systems.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the permitting and land acquisition activities associated with the Taca Taca Project and further mine development.
• Developing permitting analysis, matrices, and permit applications, including the preparation and review of technical documents in line with applicable regulations, business standards, and Company policies.
• Collaborating with the technical areas of the project from an environmental and permitting perspective during field campaigns.
• Interacting with relevant government authorities and other stakeholders involved in the approvals and authorizations of permits and lands.
• Coordinating and participating in technical meetings associated with permitting and land activities.
• Providing support to technical audits (internal, government, others).
• Reporting progress on the status of permits and/or land acquisition.
• Preparing internal and external reports associated with permitting and land activities.
• Preparing permitting schedules and timelines.

Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing environmental management plans in mining projects, maintaining and monitoring weather stations, and entering information and updating the environmental aspects database.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who is fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
