We are seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Property Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Preparation
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements for assigned properties, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Complete month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Review and approve financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • General Ledger Maintenance
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts for assigned properties.
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
  • Process and review accounts payable invoices, vendor payments, and utility bills.
  • Monitor and track accounts receivable, including tenant rent payments and late fees.
  • Work with property managers to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in property accounting. You should be proficient in property management accounting software and have strong Excel skills. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
