Fleet Operations Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Fleet Cell as a Fleet Operations Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global leader in ship management and marine services, where you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the back-up to the Fleet Superintendent, providing support and guidance as needed.
• Assist in the development of vessel budgets and financial reporting, working closely with Fleet Superintendents and the Procurement function.
• Prepare and update daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and review reports from vessels, identifying discrepancies and abnormalities, and escalating to the Fleet Superintendent or Fleet Manager as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vessel certificates, survey status, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Assist in monitoring and record-keeping of vessel spare part inventory, ensuring it is up to date and accurate.
• Provide support to Fleet Superintendents in purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring efficient and effective management of vessel expenditure.
• Participate in contingency operations, incident investigations, and root cause analysis, contributing to the improvement of fleet operations.
• Perform other duties as required by the Fleet Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the Fleet Cell.

Requirements

• Class 2 or Class 3 Engineer or BSC Marine Mechanical/Marine/Electrical Engineering or Naval Architecture or equivalent recognized qualification.
• Experienced user of MS Office.
• Member of IMarEST or similar professional body is desirable.
• Flexibility and ability to work with various departments within the company.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to the demands of a 24/7/365 operation.
• Ability to be self-motivated.
