Job Summary
The General Ledger Supervisor role at VitalAire Canada Inc. is a crucial position that oversees the operations of the General Accounting (GL) team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily activities of the GL team, ensuring timely and accurate handling of financial transactions.
About the Role
- Responsible for meeting deliverables for all General Ledger team responsibilities
- Work with the team in managing the daily operations (run work and project work)
Key Responsibilities
- Complex analysis, reports, monthly reconciliations and journal entries related to intercompany transactions and reconciliations, consolidated sales and use tax reconciliations, personal property tax adjustments and reconciliations, allocation and accrual journal entries, etc.
- Verification and posting of payroll interfaces
- Completion of quarterly inventory reserve calculation
- Internal and external audit requirements
- Serving as subject matter expert for related policies and procedures, including configuration and operation of SAP general ledger system
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business related field
- More than 7 years of progressive professional experience in accounting and business process improvement, including demonstrated management experience
