About the Role:
The Clinical Research Director at Merck is accountable for the execution of all clinical trials in a country/cluster. This involves ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with GCP, local and global regulations, and company policies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supports the development of strategic plans for delivering clinical trials as per global research pipeline requirements.
- Leads the team to effectively manage resources, ensuring skilled and high-performing staff deliver projects across therapy areas.
- Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including institutional and investigator partners.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues to develop and execute the GCTO strategy for the country/cluster.
Leadership and Quality Focus:
- Ensures adherence to GCP, local and global regulations, and company policies.
- Builds a culture of quality and compliance through training, oversight, and collaboration.
Extent of Travel: up to 30%
