About the Role
We are seeking a self-directed Data Engineer who is passionate about data engineering, architecture, and datasets to enable use case realization at scale. The ideal candidate can identify and work with data across various formats and make it available to customers: consultants, data scientists, AI/ML services, and web-based applications.
Main Responsibilities
This Full-Time Employee role is located in Buenos Aires and involves designing, building, and maintaining sustainable data pipelines for firm-wide data sets. Key responsibilities include ensuring data access for users, applications, and services to make informed decisions and business case optimizations. Additionally, you will identify critical gaps and develop ETL processes, be a domain expert in stored data and use cases, and collaborate across the organization to understand needs and ensure data remains meaningful.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To excel in this position, you will need a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of experience with RDBMS (e.g., Postgres, MySQL, Oracle) is required, along with 2+ years of experience building data solutions on Azure and other data/analytical platforms. Strong knowledge of data and data process quality and its fit for purpose is essential, as well as medium knowledge of non-SQL, columnar, data sharding solutions, benchmarking, and performance tuning data solutions, writing high-performance data queries, and associated database designs.
