Fixed Assets Accountant

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all fixed asset activity is accurately and timely accounted for, including interaction with the company's business units and corporate finance.

• Coordinate communications and fixed asset requirements between business units, corporate finance, and corporate IT.
• Process monthly fixed asset transactions, including additions, retirements, and transfers, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure all fixed asset interfaces and other areas are processed/prepared timely and accurately.
• Reconcile fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the business unit general ledgers.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset roll-forward information and related reconciliations.
• Apply company policies and procedures consistently.
• Assist with report and system testing.
• Escalate non-routine issues to the supervisor and/or manager.
• Support various accounting efforts in support of the company's business units and SAP accounting system.
• Identify opportunities to enhance/streamline business processes.
• Interact with external and internal auditors.
• Assist with executing special projects.
• Develop reports and other information to support the company's business units and corporate finance.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 0-3 years of experience in an accounting role, with demonstrated understanding of accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with Excel required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and understand how assigned responsibilities impact other processes and the work of other people.
• Strong analytic, organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills; ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing; ability to work under pressure and comply with deadlines.
