Azumo is seeking a dedicated Software Architect with a robust background of at least 7+ years in technologies such as JavaScript, Node, React, and Angular. This role is remote and open to candidates located in Latin America.

In this capacity, you will serve as a software development authority, responsible for making strategic design decisions. As a Software Architect, you will also resolve coding challenges and collaborate with fellow experts to create high-performance software solutions.

This role offers the chance to work alongside talented engineers in the fields of SaaS and big data computing. As a vital member of the web team, you should thrive with minimal oversight, manage time effectively, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver exceptional products and features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, modify, evaluate, document, and communicate solution and software architecture.
  • Identify, mitigate, and minimize technical and business risks associated with projects.
  • Work with team members to establish best practices for both functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Review and approve all final software and products prior to their official release.
  • Support the coaching and training of team members to ensure proficiency in software applications.
  • Continuously seek improvements in business software processes and interactions.
  • Tackle complex challenges; approach existing solutions from new angles.
  • Operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Ensure software security by developing programs that actively monitor the protection of sensitive information.
  • Oversee development progress to ensure alignment with initial design specifications.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and implementing software applications.
  • At least 1 year of experience with PHP or similar server-side scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Ruby, Python).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification in software architecture, frameworks, or programming languages.
  • Proven knowledge of web applications, cybersecurity, and open-source technologies.
  • Experience in developing software using various programming languages, including JavaScript, Node, React, and others.
  • Exceptional collaboration and communication skills are essential.
  • Experience managing customized development processes for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Comprehensive understanding of architectural styles and design patterns.
  • Professional experience in analyzing code for vulnerabilities and implementing improvement plans.
  • Experience in designing secure software systems based on industry-specific requirements.
