Position Overview
We are currently seeking a Java Backend Solutions Developer. This role is fully remote and compensated in USD.
Project Focus
Engage with our innovative team as we undertake a project aimed at refining our data utilization strategies. This initiative emphasizes the enhancement of data platforms through the seamless integration of data processing and information management systems. Our objective is to derive insights into data generation, transformation, and application, ensuring that every phase is monitored, optimized, and aligned with organizational goals. This role involves collaboration with one of our esteemed clients, a leading job board with a presence in over 62 countries.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Flow Oversight: Monitor and manage the production and integration of data into information systems, ensuring a smooth data lineage across the organization.
- Data Utilization Assessment: Analyze and evaluate data usage patterns to determine its value and necessity, making informed decisions regarding data formatting and application to optimize costs.
- System Architecture: Design and develop robust backend systems that enable efficient data processing and integration, implementing best practices in software architecture to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Collaborative Engagement: Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and information management leaders, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Continuous Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to processes that improve data management and operational efficiency.
- Java Proficiency: Strong expertise in Java programming, with a comprehensive understanding of its ecosystem and best practices.
- Kafka Experience: Familiarity with Kafka from an application standpoint, including the development and maintenance of Kafka-based solutions.
- Spring Boot Expertise: Solid experience with Spring Boot for creating microservices and enterprise-level applications.
- Version Control Skills: Proficient in using Gitlab for version control and collaborative software development.
- Software Design Acumen: Ability to create well-structured systems, grounded in software design principles and patterns.
