About the Job
The role involves working closely with account executives and solutions architects to drive emerging technology sales and revenue goals. You will evaluate technical requirements of new sales opportunities, develop solutions that meet customer needs, and promote our innovative cloud platform offerings, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Ceph Storage.
Your Responsibilities
- Partner with sales specialists and account solutions architects as a technical point of contact for customer opportunities.
- Ensure revenue quota, deployment, and service objectives are met while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement cloud platform sales strategies to meet Red Hat's objectives.
- Present Red Hat's solutions and technical proposals to customers.
- Guide the gathering of architecture and design, and presentation of solutions through workshops and other activities.
- Research and write responses to technical sections of requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposal (RFPs).
- Lead presales workshops, demonstrations, proofs of concepts, evaluations, and benchmarks.
- Participate in trainings for our offerings and complete ongoing continuing education requirements.
- Attend internal meetings to provide information, presentations, demonstrations, or feedback.
Your Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with Linux in system administration, integration, or development.
- Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform or other Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform and KVM virtualization technologies, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) qualification.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions.
- Knowledge of networking, storage, and complex software integration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable giving presentations and proficient in technology presales and customer-facing skills up to C-level executives.
- Will to travel up to 50%.
