Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Innovaderm Research. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring that our financial records meet the highest standards and criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly reconciliations, ledger accounts analysis, and financial reporting packages for corporate and international entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation, schedules, and entries for the close process at the Corporate level.
  • Implement consolidation and eliminating processes.
  • Participate in cash management functions.
  • Establish best practices for day-to-day international accounting activities.
  • Coordinate and participate in the preparation of annual audit files.
  • Collaborate with business and FP&A in the annual budget and forecast process.
  • Review and analyze VAT/GST data and returns.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns for international subsidiaries.
  • Assist with various international government tax audits.
  • Assist with indirect tax-related matters.
  • Oversee all intercompany transactions, including compliance with Intercompany Transfer Pricing agreements and the completeness and accuracy of Intercompany accounts.
  • Oversee all foreign currency matters, including foreign currency risk management.
  • Serve as the point of contact for foreign subsidiaries' bookkeeping firms for all international accounting matters.
  • Oversee payroll processing and troubleshoot payroll issues in collaboration with the Payroll Manager and Payroll service providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or a similar role, with experience in a large multinational company in a growth environment a plus.
  • Local and/or International payroll cycle knowledge is considered an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and knowledge of international accounting requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of tax accounting and tax compliance rules.
  • Experience with Infor FSM or other large ERP systems a plus, with experience in consolidation.
  • Knowledge of computer applications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic, and changing environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment.
  • Energetic, detail-oriented, and positive attitude.
  • Solid communication skills (oral and written) in English.
