Groundwater Hydrologist

Barrick, a leading gold and copper mining company, seeks a highly skilled Groundwater Hydrologist to join its Grants Reclamation Project team. This exciting opportunity offers a comprehensive compensation package and the chance to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the groundwater monitoring program at the site, supporting all environmental programs and regulatory compliance obligations. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing advanced technical hydrogeologic analysis and making strategic operational and closure recommendations;
• Leading and mentoring technical staff;
• Ensuring required hydrogeologic data is collected, compiled, analyzed, interpreted, and applied effectively;
• Overseeing preparation and timely submittal of reports related to hydrogeologic data;
• Assisting with water management strategies and data management;

To succeed in this role, you will require:

• A bachelor's degree in hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, or civil engineering;
• Five to ten years of experience in groundwater remediation;
• Familiarity with water well systems, hydraulic flow, and well field balancing;
• Knowledge of advanced principles and practices employed in hydrogeology and hydrology;
• Experience with environmental monitoring and compliance principles;
• Ability to prepare technical communications and effectively communicate results;
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently and in small teams;
