The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and documenting IT infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.
We require an individual with experience in administration and configuration of Windows Server and Linux, as well as knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs), firewalling, and perimeter security.
Additionally, proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is essential. The successful candidate will also have experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Acronis, and scripting tools like PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
The ability to work with assigned team members to engineer a full solution, create formal infrastructure design, and present it for revisions and approval is critical. Furthermore, the individual must develop an implementation plan of action with minimal client downtime.
The requirements include:
- Operating Systems: Administration and configuration of Windows Server and Linux
- Networking and Security: Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs), firewalling, and perimeter security
- Virtualization and Cloud: Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Storage and Backup: Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, Acronis
- Automation and Scripting Tools: Familiarity with PowerShell, Bash, and Python
- Infrastructure Monitoring and Management: Experience with tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds
- Documentation: Proficiency in ITGlue or similar tools for infrastructure documentation
- Project Management: Ability to design, implement, and document infrastructures following methodologies such as ITIL or Agile
