We're Nerdy, a leading learning technology company, and we're looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our team in South America.
As a key member of our engineering team, you'll play a crucial role in building cutting-edge frontend experiences in React. Familiarity with backend services and technologies is a plus, particularly in Ruby on Rails and/or Golang.
We have a complete CI/CD software lifecycle and an evolving services-oriented architecture hosted in AWS. This is a full-time contractor position that offers flexibility and opportunities for growth and development.
About the Role:
- Write performant, maintainable code that is easy to read and well-documented.
- Develop automated tests to thoroughly validate the correctness of your code.
- Maintain a focus on quality and operate iteratively to get from good to better.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and take ownership of your code from development to deployment to operations.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of experience as a Front End Engineer
- Strong experience with React or Next.js
- Experience with SEO optimization
- Experience with deployment systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodeDeploy)
- Familiarity with AWS Services (e.g., RDS, Lambda, EC2, etc.)
- Understanding of OO design, algorithms, and data structures
- Aptitude to quickly learn new languages and technologies as necessary
- Fluent in English
