Key Responsibilities- This role will focus on defining and implementing a comprehensive SRE strategy to improve system reliability and accelerate cloud adoption.
- The successful candidate will collaborate closely with product teams to understand their needs and identify opportunities to improve application reliability and availability.
- Develop and implement initiatives to drive improvements in application availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
- Design, build, and champion automated solutions to optimize application uptime with minimal human intervention.
- Implement a comprehensive SRE strategy to ensure systems are highly available and reliable, minimizing downtime or disruption to business operations.
- Lead and manage a team of SRE and Cloud engineers, setting performance goals, and providing ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate SRE practices into product architecture and operations.
- Collaborate with development team members to identify monitoring gaps, application performance improvement opportunities, and assist with troubleshooting problems.
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure application performance, regularly reporting on these metrics to key stakeholders and other teams within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Conform with all company policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will:
- Have 7-10 years of relevant IT experience.
- Have 3+ years of experience working in AWS or Azure cloud environments.
- Have 3-5 years of technical leadership experience in large enterprises.
- Have 2-4 years of early career experience as a software developer.
- Have experience in financial services industry preferred.
- Have current or past experience leading the strategy of the Site Reliability Engineering function in a large organization.
