**The Job**
The Accounting Sr. analyst is responsible for the month-end close tasks related to the Property, Plant, and Equipment (PP&E) area. Prepare and book complex manual journal entries. Prepare supporting documents and files and keep evidence of controls made while posting those entries. Analyzes monthly activity and transactions of assigned segments, providing clear explanations of the errors, variances and differences detected and identifying reasons for the reconciling items found. The Sr. Accountant actively participates in the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reporting process, working closely with the Accounting Supervisor to guarantee the achievement of deliverables due dates.

**The Daily**- Perform asset additions, adjustments, transfers, retirements, and accelerated depreciation process. Project migrations from Project Costing (PC) to Asset Management (AM). Run the asset register for all the segments and analyze and resolve AM vs GL differences. Prepare and assist other team members with complex manual entries General Ledger (accruals and reclasses) and its respective supporting documents, keeping evidence of control and approval of the respective appropriated levels. Annual Assets Review process. (40%)
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of assigned segments. Assist other team members with complex account open items. Identify improvement areas in the supporting files and documents used to back up those reconciliations in Cadency Certification. Suggest those changes to the Accounting Supervisor. (20%)
- Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for financial corporate use (CPR Schedules). To assist Accounting Supervisor and other team members to cover any information request for internal (SOX-Internal Audit-GBS Management) or external (Auditors, Tax, Legal, or Statutory) filing purposes. (20%)
- Assist Accounting Supervisor by providing guidance and sharing acquired knowledge with other junior members of the team. Also, with control/reporting tasks and specific projects. (20%)

**The Essentials**- Graduates or advanced students from Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or the equivalent.
- Experience in accounting/similar positions (4 years).
- Fluent in English. Encouraged to speak and write frequently and fluently.
- Proficient in Excel and other MS tools.
- Teamwork skills and collaboration.
- Ability to adapt to dynamic and uncertain environments (flexibility and prioritization).
- Proactivity and accountability. Autonomous and self-motivated, to investigate possible solutions for issues with no pre-established answer.

**The Nice to Haves**
- General knowledge of People Soft or other ERP systems.
- General knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience in Shared Business Services
- Experience in Knowledge Transfer processes
