# Front-end Software Engineer

YouNoodle is looking for a talented Front-end engineer to join our global team of coders, hackers, and data geeks. We are helping tens of thousands of startups move forward on our global startup programs platform and working hard to build the world’s largest innovation engine. We are looking for a promising engineer to help scale our existing products and build tomorrow’s next big thing.
We are looking for someone who knows their way around JavaScript and React. Our codebase is very structured and neat, and we want to keep it that way. We’re looking for someone who can dive in and take responsibility where needed, whether speeding up the site or building new user-facing features. Sometimes, you will work on a new platform or language, and we would love someone who is fearless, versatile, curious, and can jump right in to get the job done. You will be given a lot of independence in your work and a real opportunity to influence the product meaningfully.
Role Description:
This role involves working closely with our product & engineering team on our web SaaS product, YouNoodle Compete. You will be helping build new features, squash bugs, and test; therefore, investigation and logic should come naturally to you as they do to Sherlock. You will help and assist both technical & non-technical noodlers with product issues and requests.
Desired Skills and Experience:
You are the perfect front engineer if you have/are:
- 3+ years of experience as a front engineer.
- Proficient in React framework and up-to-date with the latest version and best practices. Experience with unit testing and code linting.
- Experienced with Design framework (Material Design, Tailwind).
- Have a passion for neat, maintainable, and testable code.
- Love solving complex engineering problems and challenges.
- Disciplined enough to accommodate a flexible & remote workflow.
- Think that collaboration is more important than being right.
- Are curious and have a deep desire to learn. Fluent in English.
Nice to have:
- Strong understanding of AngularJS routing and state management.
- Firebase
- Laravel or PHP
- Experience as a backend/full stack engineer.
- Familiarity with Turborepo.
