By showing companies the business case for mitigating water risk, Waterplan accelerates the transition to a world where companies are incentivized to save more water, abate the discharge of polluting effluents, contribute to long-term sustainability of water resources, and preserve shared value.
To help fulfill this mission, we are looking for a **Senior Water Advisor focused on nature-based solutions (NbS)** to join the Customer Success team at Waterplan. In this role, you will collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to define and quantify NbS impact based on your experience in hydrology and ecology.
You will work in a fully remote distributed team across multiple disciplines at a science-oriented company. At Waterplan, you will have the chance to work at the forefront of our industry and with world-leading water and sustainability experts.

**Responsibilities**
- Own the quality, accuracy, clarity, and timeliness of deliverables to clients. Provide direction and focus to the research needed to meet these objectives.
- Deliver insights and recommendations to our customers through different actions according to their use case and purchase driver.
- Actively contribute and provide feedback to the Product team to improve and expand our product(s) and services.
- Build internal expertise through formal and informal training.
- Proactively research and share trends and developments in industry, policy, news, etc. both within the organization and externally.
**Skills and Qualifications**
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and comfortable presenting clearly and concisely to C-suite/VPs/Directors.
- Proactive and hands-on with a collaborative and iterative continuous improvement mindset and approach.
- Highly organized with the ability to self-train and manage own time and deliverables effectively.
- Ability with Google Suite (spreadsheets, presentations, etc.).
- Experience working in a consulting or technical advisory capacity.
- Degree (Masters preferred) in a water-related science or engineering discipline.
- Technical expertise in one or more (several preferred) of the following areas: water resources management; nature-based solutions and VWB accounting; ecology and biodiversity; GIS and remote sensing systems; and multi-stakeholder engagement.
