**PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES**

The Global Procurement Organization (GPO) is in the midst of ongoing transformation that will change the dynamic of how GPO engages with its stakeholders. This transformation is necessary to keep up with the fastchanging environment, develop into a digital organization, meet the Board’s ambitious growth plans, and support SAP’s strategy.

**ABOUT THE GPO MARKETING CATEGORY**

The Marketing Category Team is part of the Global Procurement Organization and provides excellent business partnering to our internal and external stakeholders. The category is responsible for the definition and execution of global sourcing strategies in close collaboration with business owners, legal, controlling, as well as for sourcing and supplier management across the globe. The GPO Marketing Category is responsible for the procurement of Advertising & Brand, Paid Media, Direct & Digital Marketing, Events, Market Research, Merchandise, Public Relations and Sponsorships.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Procurement Specialist to support the specific Marketing areas of Events & Sponsoring

**EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS**
- Profound Events and/or Sponsoring knowledge
- Integrate into and work within an existing team that prioritizes collaboration, innovation and collective success
- Act as consultant and trusted business value enabler for key stakeholders
- Understand SAP’s current and future requirements
- Supplier management including reviews of supplier performance
- Conduct all RFIs and RFPs in the relevant marketing areas
- Lead all contracting and compliance activities
- Perform market analyses, benchmarking and explore market capabilities to gain market intelligence
- Ability to quickly understand and transfer adjusted processes to changing market situations
- Research and recommend new suppliers and engagement models related to the relevant areas

**EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES**
- University degree preferably in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- Ideally dedicated experience in Events & Sponsoring, including a solid understanding of the Marketing end-to-end operational processes
- Solid stakeholder (internal and external) management
- Open-minded, innovative, and willing to drive change
- Understanding of end-to-end procurement and sourcing strategies
- Ability to work within a global team and virtual environment
- Excellent communication abilities and practices, analytical and negotiation skills, strategic thinking, collaborative approach
- Fluent in spoken and written English

**WORK EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum of 3+ years in Event and/or Sponsoring Industries or Event and/or Sponsoring Procurement
- 5+ years’ experience in progressive procurement and category management experience within a multinational business is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and to crystalize business requirements and to translate them into actionable procurement strategies and activities
- Ability to establish clear priorities and effectively manage multiple demand and time resources
- Experience working in a fast-paced complex environment
