**Better is enabled by trust and respect**We’ll be looking for you to join our highly skilled accounting - settlement team. You will be responsible for leading an accounting-settlement team and supervising a number of staff positions. You will be seen as an accounting-settlement partner to the business on various accounting matters and ensure there is an understanding of internal policies & processes. You’ll collaborate as part of a team in reviewing and approving various accounting statements, and specialized financial reports. You will analyse financial data and make recommendations on accounting issues & controls. Your role will be to get involved in various business and function related projects. You’ll review and verify the accuracy of accounting records. In this position you will have a regional view, participate in accounting - settlement projects, and/or provide work direction to less experienced accounting staff. In addition, you will be focused on permanent process improvement obtaining efficiencies and time savings on them. Leading your team, you will need to obtain a correct result in fiscal and corporate accounting closings; accounting registrations, loss provision calculation and control of operations related to principals and settlement of commissions to agents. You’ll collaborate with auditors, both internal and external, during preparation and review of audit material, while also over-viewing and approving monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

For this role, we require you to have a degree in Finance, Economics, accounting, or a similar field and have at least between 4-6 years of experience in accounting. You’ll have a good understanding of what impacts financial statements and understand how it links with accounting, tax, treasury, and other parts of business. We need you to have a blend of being analytically minded as well as customer focused. If you have the desire and ability to take a strong leadership role and can influence actions to create real change then this could be the perfect role. It’s required previous experience in problem resolution, critical thinking and projects leading. You’ll need leadership skills, initiative, and proactive attitude. The ability to work with others and communicate effectively is needed. It’s required upper intermediate (B+) or advanced English level and intermediate/advanced Office package, Macros knowledge is desirable. Experience with JD Edwards system is desirable.
