Load Balancer Engineer

The primary function of this role would be to configure, maintain and troubleshoot F5 and NGINX load balancers. Duties will include the following:
Coordinate with vendors, when needed, during issue resolution.

Utilize programming and scripting skills to make load-balancing configuration changes.

Engage and coordinate technical teams, to complete work in various environments.

Track and schedule SSL certificate replacement on the load balancing platform.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years’ experience with load-balancing OS and software.

Strong understanding of DevOps principles, concepts, and workflows.

Knowledge of load balancing algorithms and VIP/pool configuration with health checks.

Very good understanding of DNS functionality and concepts.

Experience with IPv4, IPv6, SSL acceleration, and HTTP.

Strong understanding of switch, network routing, network protocols, connectivity services, and firewall concepts.

Understand current technologies as it relates to n-Tier and web-based architectures.

**Nice to Have Skills**:
Experience with Akami and Infoblox.

Experience using change management process.

Knowledge of SDLC.

Experience with Web hosting network architectures.
