Junior Data Analyst

**Fluid Truck is looking to hire a Data Analyst with strong technical analytical skills to support the effort for scalable data reporting and analytics. This includes developing reports, analytics and presentations on operational performances, measuring data quality impact, identifying data anomalies, running validation exercises and experimenting with advanced analytics to drive improvements. This person will collaborate very closely and cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Finance & Accounting, CS and other teams to ensure success.**
Responsibilities include:
Create highly consistent and accurate datasets for analysis in order to help teams make smart, data-driven decisionsUnderstand and manage the creation and storing of data (fluid business processes)Create clear and concise metrics and report documentationProvide support to departments within the organization through database exploration and ad-hoc reportingYou will identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.Analyze, inspect and create reports against structured and unstructured data sourcesIdentify patterns from data anomalies to help improve data qualityDefine metrics and evaluations that help measure data health (ACT - Accurate, complete and timely)Handle, track and measure quality from manual data validation exercises
- Help improve how features are built and executed across teams
**Requirements**:
**Required Skills / Experience**Experience with Excel (functions, reporting, v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.)Excellent analytical, detail oriented and problem solving skills, with a data-driven approachStrong communication / interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with othersDemonstrated ability of proactively working with multiple teams to complete critical achievements under pressure with tight deadlinesData cleaning and preparation skillsAbility to tackle problems quickly and completely (self directed)Ability to prioritize, multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environmentAbility to learn quickly and implement new approaches, technologies and processes
- Ability to understand requirements and execute tasks based on those requirements
Preferred Skills / ExperienceExperience as a business or data analyst (or similar role)Experience working with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Kanban, etc.)Technical proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases strongly preferredStrong understanding of large-scale content management systems and data modeling; strongly preferredHistory of working with BI visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Looker, Data Studio, Alteryx, Qlik, or Zoho AnalyticsFamiliarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Pentaho, AWS glue, Airflow, etc (strongly preferred)
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift or comparable GCP environment (strongly preferred)
