**What are we looking for?**:

- The supplier quality assurance role undertakes the SQA process with suppliers to proactively ensure that their Q&FS systems are in place to meet Mars standards and enable the delivery of all materials to Mars manufacturing facilities to specification.
- The role has 3 main purposes: the assessment and improvement of a supplier’s capability to meet specification, to ensure the resolution of non-conforming material issues and the technical development of the supply base to meet future requirements. The role interacts extensively with Commercial, R&D and manufacturing

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Veterinary, Biology, Engineering.
- English: intermediate level.
- Ability to travel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred
- Portuguese: elementary level.
- Lead auditor FSSC22.000 with IRCA certificate.

Knowledge / Experience
- According to License to Operate and/or auditor experience that can be from Mars or before starts in Mars.

Preferred
- Knowledge of risk management and quality and food safety tools.
- Food technology and/or agricultural knowledge is an advantage.
- Hazards evaluation (chemical, physical and biological), Knowledge of HACCP, Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

**What will be your key responsibilities?**
- This position will be responsible by supplier quality assurance for local scope
- Assessment and confirmation of a suppliers capability to meet Mars standards of supply, through;
- Performing the SQA audit
- Review of analytical data compliance
- Performing and review of process capability data:

- Verifying that supplier hazard controls are operating effectively
- Support the supplier to address gaps in Q&FS capability identified in audits
- Partner with the buyer in ensuring the material specifications are reviewed, understood and agreed by the supplier
- Working with the supplier to investigate & resolve material non-conformances to prevent recurrence
- Undertake Supplier Development activities to build technical & operational capability to meet Mars SPECs
- To be aware of and assess changes to a suppliers capability to meet the Mars Specification;
- Reports MQM metrics to understand and improve the Q&FS of the supply base;
- Ensuring that all suppliers are assigned a current status with defined supply and verification requirements
- Communicate business opportunities identified during supplier contact
- DIB projects
- Nexus updated with the audit information and material risk assessment for each supplier/raw material
- Participate on MRA meetings, evaluate and delivery all information necessary to support it
- Support R&D through material risk assessment.
