**About the role**

**Main responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Node.js and other relevant technologies.
- Optimize API performance and security.
- Collaborate with mobile developers and architects to ensure cohesive functionality and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform thorough testing and debugging.
- Optimize API performance and ensure availability.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in API development.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs.
- Communicate and present to diverse stakeholders on technical topics and implementations

**Key Qualifications and Experiences**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in API development, including using Node.js extensively.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and understanding of RESTful APIs; familiarity with other relevant languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Familiarity with security best practices and performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Agile and scrum methodologies
- In depth experience with DevOps and CI/CD as well as version control systems (e.g., Git).
