Assistant Controller

**Location and Schedule**

This is a hybrid position based in our Buenos Aires, Vicente López office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and record accrual entries.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist proactively in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards using Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Mentor and train junior members of the finance team.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Work cross-functionally with various teams to automate and optimize processes and reports that impact the speed and accuracy of accounting
- Supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting departments

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- 2 years of Big 4 experience
- Proven experience in Power BI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP). Advanced understanding of Excel formulas (Pivot Tables).
- Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and US GAAP accounting
- Proven management skills including supervision and mentoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
