Your Role and Responsibilities

The scope of this job role includes preparation for new or changed services, management of the change process, and maintenance of regulatory, legal, and professional standards, management of performance of systems and services in relation to their contribution to business performance, and management of bought-in services including, for example, public network, virtual private network, and outsourced services. Typical examples of the deliverables are service-level reporting, risk, and contingency planning.

**Environment**: Professional knowledge related to incumbent's function/business unit and its processes.

**Communication/Negotiation**: Advise other professionals. Effectively utilize group dynamics. Negotiate to define approaches and goals.

**Problem Solving**: Recognize complex problems related to functional objectives. Analyze situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures or processes. Creativity and judgment applied to developmental work on different projects within the business environment.

**Contribution/Leadership**: Provides ongoing technical /operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, or manages department(s) (national or international). Understand department/ functional mission and vision. Defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
**Solid experience in the area**: z/OS Operational System.

z/OS environment and facilities (ie. TSO, SDSF, USS, zFS, etc.).

Base Software, and its tools or facilities (ie CICS, Db2, MQ).

Installation and configuration of products and/or tools (Parmlibs, Proclibs, SMPE, etc.). Deploy or “life cycle code” in different levels or instances.

Problem Analysis and Best Practices implementation

**Concepts of**:
Monitoring and Reporting (SMF, RMF, reporting tools)

Communications (TCPIP)

Security (RACF)

Non z/OS platforms to improve the installation processes in cross platform solutions or services

Cloud solutions

Languages like REXX, CLIST, JCL, Markup and others

Fluent English
