ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a rock-star **Software Engineering Lead**, you will have the opportunity to lead the development and strategic direction of our platform along with your own team of talented engineers. You'll play an important role in ensuring software engineering excellence, shaping product innovation, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
IN THIS ROLE YOU’LL GET TO:
Lead by example by being hands-on with coding and taking an end-to-end role in software development, testing and delivery
Demonstrate excellence in software engineering practices by tackling complex technical challenges.
Act as a technical authority, setting coding standards and best practices for the team.
Lead a team of remote software engineers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure successful project delivery.
Serve as a Scrum Master for the engineering team, facilitating daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Implement best practices in testing and documentation.
Manage the backlog, prioritize tasks, and ensure efficient sprint execution.
Play a pivotal role in shaping the product's direction by actively contributing to the ideation and development of new features and enhancements.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment where ideas are shared and creativity is encouraged.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Must be a full-stack engineer with solid knowledge and relevant work experience in Javascript, PHP, and the Laravel Framework 8.10 or later versions.
- Have expertise in AWS services, including EC2, RDS, Elasticache, OpenSearch, S3, CloudWatch, and Route 53.
- Experience working with a remote team environment and Git best practices
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing software development teams.
- Certified Scrum Master or equivalent agile certification preferred.
- Experience in product management or working closely with product teams preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion on time and within scope.
