**Position Summary**

The Import Specialist is responsible for providing support to Chilean Customs & Trade (import/export) operations.

This role will be responsible for coordinating operational activities, acting as the contact point person for the area/ operations, managing urgent needs, projects, supporting duties and other logistics related payments. Additionally, this role is responsible to check all the Invoices related to C&T as well to support the management of the brokers and freight forwarders.

**Responsibilities**
- Follow-up to activities related to the coordination of import and export shipments for research studies-CSO, commercial products & export, in case applicable.
- Daily contact with exports team-manufacturing sites (Supply Chain, Customer Service & Logistics Planner) to receive the import documentation (commercial, samples and clinical trials product), review and shipment approval, as well the alignments with Market Supply Operation in Chile
- Request the approval of MOH in the government web portal
- Coordination of import of biological samples;
- Coordinate & providing guidance for active/passive container reverse logistics
- Analysis and delivery for payment of invoices/tickets from service providers
- Inform the delivery of the products to the warehouse and promptly communicate in case of damage or discrepancy
- Propose and participate in implementations or improvements related to the processes and interaction with the various local Logistics areas of different countries
- Vendor contracts monitoring
- Monthly participation and submission of Chilean key performance indicators to Latam metrics meeting & highlights (inclusion in the SharePoint)
- To be the focal point for commercial launches, participate on STM & cross-functional team meetings.
- Integral import management & liasion for Tecnofarma/hCelgene portfolio from free-trade zone Uruguay (FTZ UY) to the market.
- Serve as back up for local & regional team, in case needed.

**Required Competencies**

- Strong knowledge of Customs / Ministry of Health legislation

- Strong ability in understanding commercial, regulatory and access operating principles to translate them into Logistics solutions
- Demonstrated capability in implementing challenging goals, objectives and practices in a complex, ambiguous and highly regulated environment

**Required Qualifications and desired experience**
- Graduate or student of Foreign Trade and / or related with knowledge in customs regulations.
- Required 3-5 years of Foreign Trade with experience in Pharmaceutical Product Imports.
- Preferred experience with SAP (Production, GTS, etc).
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point).
- Technical skills: Report Management, Analysis capacity, capacity of flowcharts (desired), etc.
- English Intimidate level: speak, write & read
