The Rip Van Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the transportation of
finished goods from their co-manufacturer network to their distribution center. He/she will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on finished good inventory status across their supply chain, including their own 3PLs, Amazon and distributor locations.
**What you will do**:
- Quoting/booking various transportation modes (parcel, ocean cargo, air cargo, FTL,
LTL, rail).
- Provide clear, consistent updates on shipment delivery timing and inventory status for the Rip Van team. Ability to negotiate solutions to transportation issues as they
arise.
- Assist with negotiating transportation rates and/or services.
- Work with finance and customer service to quote, track, book, and process claims v. carriers and/or warehouses.
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers.
- Execute needed inventory transfers to maintain WOS at various warehouse locations.
- Monitor distributor inventory levels to ensure appropriate WOS and, when appropriate, take action to prompt orders to ensure strong inventory levels.
- Proactively identify aging inventory and negotiate with liquidation customers on
pricing to minimize and prevent waste.
**Requirements**:
- 3-5 years of supply chain experience, focused on transportation scheduling and coordination.
- Expert in Excel and analytically minded.
- Experience with Amazon FBA is a plus.
- Quickbooks or other accounting / ERP software is required.
- Demonstrated skill in data analytics.
- Strong work ethic and sense of urgency, professionalism and positive attitude.
- Highly organized with great attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
**Location **:Fully Remote (work from home). Full time Monday-Friday within the Eastern Standard Time (EST)
