To provide construction planning, programming, prelims and methodology input for projects at qualification, tender and contract stage

**Senior Planner**

**What you will be doing**
- Creating “accurate” programmes and embedding the appropriate programme behaviours will contribute significantly to success in other areas, including cost and quality.
- Create, maintain, review and administer multiple integrated design and construct programmes for projects delivered
- Work closely with and guide project teams and suppliers to ensure all activities, logic, risks, internal and external constraints etc are identified when creating programmes.
- Provide accurate and consistent progress information.
- Analyse programmes to proactively identify time risks and opportunities.
- Ensure a consistent approach is applied to developing delivery programmes.
- Contribute to creating a positive team culture and environment to support improved programme behaviours and wellbeing and performance.
- This role will require determination and persistence as you will part of a team changing for the better the way in which many people currently work embedding production line thinking and our “offsite first” philosophy.
- Assisting and imparting planning knowledge to junior members.

**What we will need from you**
- Previous planning and/or project delivery theoretical and practical experience in a Highways, Civils or construction environment is essential.
- You must be proficient using planning software including resource management functions.
- Experienced in using MPP Microsoft Project and Primavera P6
- A knowledge of PowerProject is desirable but not essential.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, problem-solving, management and organisational skills.
- Some degree of knowledge of the Health and Safety Requirements within the industry to assist in the preparation of Construction Programmes.
- Can work independently and as part of a diverse team.
- Knowledge of Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), Lean Construction, Agile Programme Management, Production Thinking and other techniques that will assure programme and Quality performance in a modern manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills - ability to bring the whole team on the MMC journey including the client and our supply chain.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of people. A good ‘Team Player’
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Legally entitled to work in the UK
- CSCS Card desirable
- SMSTS safety qualification is desirable.
- Membership of a Professional body is encouraged
