**A Hybrid working model**

Now offices are fully open we have embraced a hybrid working model, which allows our employees to split their time between the office and other locations, something we hope will provide everyone much more flexibility to their working week. The expectation is that working life at Hogarth will involve working from the office for about 50% of the time for most people. **What does a Mechanical Artist do at Hogarth?**

**Key responsibilities**:

- Work with Studio Project Managers and Senior Mechanical Artists to accurately implement content across a range of mechanicals
- Practice meticulous attention to detail and follow instructions precisely
- Provide multiple layout solutions when necessary
- Manage a high-volume workload
- Complete relevant checklists for all assigned tasks to ensure the highest level of quality and accuracy
- Create and update mechanical templates with new specifications
- Maintain strict server structure and file organization guidelines
- Manage files and processes (incoming/outgoing, naming, archiving, etc.)
- Consistently adhere to file naming strategies
- Perform quality-control measures on individual and peer work
- Abide by (and enforce) the client's strict confidentiality policies
- Communicate articulately with the team, sharing and documenting any issues or knowledge to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Contribute to a continuous improvement work philosophy

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years' experience in mechanical production, printing, and technology
- BA in Graphic Design/Print Media or equivalent
- Prepress background a plus
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat); working knowledge of Photoshop a plus
- Proactive in keeping skills up to date and driving self-improvement
- Ability to prioritize workload and work both independently and with a team
- Ability to navigate complex processes and tools
- Effective time manager
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Communicate fully, effectively, and diplomatically
- Proactive, solution-oriented thinker
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure, confidential studio environment
- Adapt easily to shifting priorities/timelines
- Calm demeanor under pressure
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication and follow-up skills
- Flexibility during high-volume periods (some longer hours
