**Requirements**:
They should be familiar with technologies such as SQL and JavaScript.

They should also have experience working with SQL databases.

They should also have a good understanding of data normalization and denormalization techniques.

They should also be familiar with data integration tools such as Apache NiFi or Informatica.

They should also be able to implement data governance policies and procedures.

They should be familiar with cloud-based data storage and processing services such as S3 and Snowflake.

They should also be familiar with software engineering best practices such as version control, testing, and deployment.

**Responsibilities**:
Design and develop data pipelines: A data engineer should be able to design and develop data pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a data warehouse or other target systems. They should be familiar with technologies such as SQL and JavaScript.

Database design and management: A data engineer should be skilled in database design and management, including schema design, indexing, partitioning, and query optimization. They should also have experience working with SQL databases.

Data modeling: A data engineer should be able to design and implement data models that are optimized for performance, scalability, and flexibility. They should also have a good understanding of data normalization and denormalization techniques.

ETL processes: A data engineer should be able to develop and maintain ETL processes that move data from source systems to target systems. They should also be familiar with data integration tools such as Apache NiFi or Informatica.

Data quality: A data engineer should be able to ensure data quality by implementing data validation, cleaning, and profiling techniques. They should also be able to implement data governance policies and procedures.

Cloud computing: A data engineer should have experience working with cloud computing technologies such as AWS. They should be familiar with cloud-based data storage and processing services such as S3 and Snowflake.
