**Job Mission**:
Create value in the product that satisfies the customer and seek an advantage over competitors (competitiveness) from the initial development phase to the end of life, accordingly to regional product strategy.
Implement product concept & competitiveness defined during [V] & following milestones and propose changes to these plans and strategies to align with customer needs, market conditions, and corporate objectives.
Analyze consumer, market, and competitive data to support the development of the product in charge and market strategy recommendations.
Prepare appropriate documentation to communicate this information and recommendations to the related departments within the Nissan family and continuously seek out ideas to improve job efficiency.

**Within the LCV BU, the Product Planning Specialist is**:
**Product Planner**:
Anticipate future customer needs by following trends and identifying priorities from research.
Propose hypotheses and conclusions according to the market analysis.
Define future product lineup and a detailed spec for the region
Work closely with MKT, PMO, and R&D with cross-functional communication to make one voice with proposals.
Be the voice of the region for responsible product lines with PP Specialist in NML.

**Competitiveness/Positioning guardian**:
Support the definition of the optimal product lineup to maximize product competitiveness based on customer needs, market competition, and product Strategic Advantages and Cost of Entry (SA & COE).
Ensure product pricing positioning implementation and monitoring in coordination with the Marketing team through the pricing process and specific analysis (VI, VA).
Monitor competition activities and provide a complete analysis.
Provide benchmark and analysis to define target customer groups and accessible markets for its models.
Monitor best practices across RBUs on customer offers and excellence activities and ensure diffusion.

**Data analyst**:
Perform data mining and analysis to extract focused customer insights with deep market and customer understanding.
Support robust, data-driven proposals to drive decision-making involving product portfolio direction and to acquire approvals with Global Product Planning, Regional Product Managers, and Nissan Executives.
Collaborate with the Market Intelligence team to support primary research to capture customer insights for future products.

**Product Specialist**:
Confirm spec combinations and create the Product Information Guide
Support on clarifying Product contents / Spec combinations doubts to several Nissan Departments
Brochure and Website information reviews, proof of product accuracy and correctness.
Confirm the Owner's Manual for content accuracy.
Dealership point of purchase advertising, SA & COE definition.

**Essential tasks/responsibilities & essential work files**:
Price Value Competitiveness a PVC / PRT

Research and understand the specific differences between the competence and our models.
List out the features/non-features of our vehicle and competitors' vehicles.
Study the appropriate value for each item.
Assess competitiveness position (VIVA) based on the strategy set.

Price and Volume Distribution proposal à Bubble Charts

Assess/validate/evaluate our price position and volume target, and grade mix is appropriate.
Use a bubble chart to display volume/grade competitive strategy. Show pricing strategy. Show competitive positioning.

Product Information Guide / Communication à PIG / EISETSU

Create and ensure the accuracy of the Product Information Guidebook for assigned model lines.
Understand the spec list and accurately reflect specs into the PIG.
Set the End Item Model (EIM) information into the PIG according to the grade walk strategy. Upload and cross-check accuracy into Nissan systems accordingly (GSIS/G2B).

Key tools comprehension for a Grade walk strategy creation à Spec List / G2B / NCBS / JATO / Landscapes / Purchase Funnel / ALS / UNS / Focus Groups / etc.

Analyze different markets and customer needs.
Grades construction based on market needs
Understand the grade-by-grade differences (spec and price) between the competitors and our models.

Sales Volume proposal à ABC

To use the official methodology to study volume opportunity based on a specific Market and Nissan Model considering several data provided (MTP, NCBS, Sales Report, etc.).

**Education/Certifications**:
Bachelor’s degree

Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or similar)
Marketing
Business-related degree

**Previous Work Experience**:
VPM (Vehicle Program Management)
Marketing
Professional Experience in the Automotive Industry or Program Management background in other Industries.
Desired experience in Planning departments, Product Marketing, or similar in other Industries
