About Position

**Position**: Full-time

As **DevOps **Jr**, your primary goal is to learn and contribute to bridging the gap between software development and operations. You will actively participate in automating deployments, ensuring a secure and scalable infrastructure, and promoting efficient software delivery. Leveraging tools like Jenkins, Terraform, and code repositories, you will work towards enhancing our software delivery pipelines, facilitating seamless collaboration, and supporting the efficient delivery of high-quality software solutions.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work with cross-functional teams to understand and contribute to scalable and reliable software deployment pipelines, primarily using Jenkins.
- Collaborate in the design, development, and implementation of deployment strategies.
- Contribute to the automation and streamlining of software development processes, including build, test, and deployment activities using technologies like Jenkins and Terraform.
- Managing and enhancing the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) environment using tools like Terraform.
- Implement and maintain version-controlled repositories for infrastructure code.
- Implement and manage code repositories and version control systems like Bitbucket and Git.
- Implement security aspects, including authentication, identity management, and encryption, to ensure secure software deployments.
- Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical issues related to software build, deployment, and operations.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and related tools.
- Work towards creating and maintaining automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services, focusing on platforms such as AWS and Azure.

**Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Skills:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing Linux-based systems, including but not limited to Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Red Hat. Ability to navigate and perform tasks efficiently using the command line interface (CLI) in a Linux environment. Knowledge of Linux security principles and best practices, including user authentication, access control, and system hardening. Familiarity with package management systems (e.g., apt, yum) and the ability to install, update, and manage software packages. Understanding of Linux networking concepts, including TCP/IP and DNS.
- Exposure to scripting languages such as Bash, Python or PowerShell.
- Basic understanding of infrastructure-as-code provisioning tools like Terraform.
- Awareness of code repository management using Bitbucket, Git, or similar version control systems.
- Basic understanding of Jenkins for building and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and services such as AWS and Azure.
- Desirable: Basic understanding of software development methodologies and practices (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
- Desirable: Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Desirable: Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Other Skills
- Demonstrating a strong interest and aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies.
- Developing intermediate proficiency in English, with the ability to understand technical texts and participate in work meetings.
