The Senior Procurement Specialist-CoE Contracting will develop strong business relationships with customers (internal and external) typically at a mid-management or higher level. They must analyze and understand complex customer requirements to provide professional advice and ongoing support to meet business and strategic requirements. This role provides in-depth specialized procurement knowledge related to the proper development, negotiation and execution of robust complex global contracts and Statements of Work (SOW) and maintains ongoing commercial relationships between Parexel and its key suppliers. It also plays a leading role in supplier management, working closely with suppliers to develop business relationships that help facilitate a more streamlined approach to sourcing while ensuring through negotiation that price competitiveness and high levels of service are maintained. The Senior Procurement Specialist-CoE Contracting should have the ability to initiate and develop advanced procurement/business related ideas, determine the optimum course of action for success, particularly in respect to collaborating and seeking agreement with all interested parties using influencing skills. In addition, the Senior Procurement Specialist-CoE Contracting may provide a team leader role which would include providing day-to-day over.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Business Support**
- Maintains close working relationships provides professional advice, and assistance to internal customers at all levels by, but not limited to:

- Monitoring quality and efficiencies of relevant purchasing processes.
- Verifying requests accuracy, completion, and approvals.
- Coordinating and recommending best course of action for complex, global supplier contracts and SOWs.
- Utilize market research to guide internal customers to identify the most qualified, best-in-class suppliers, while continually reviewing the supplier information provided.
- Provide user support in relation to department responsibilities such as supplier selection, contract creation, negotiation and administration, and internal resource coordination.
- Leverages procurement and other internal resources to meet time-sensitive, complex customer requirements.
- Provides procurement and business senior management, with statistical, general, and financial information, as well as regular status reports and metrics on procurement related activities.
- Leads and supports local and regional compliance audit activities as needed.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to team members and less experienced staff by communicating in an open, balanced, and objective manner.

**Supplier Relationship Management**
- Creates new and/or develops existing regional/global supplier relationships and reviews alternate sources, ensuring continuity of supply and consistency of quality.
- Undertake the full range of duties relevant to assisting in the leadership, management, and development of the team to ensure the performance meets and/ or exceeds both the business and their own personal goals/objectives.

**Contract Process Support**
- Manages the contract and SOW review process, particularly in relation to the significantly more complex contracts and SOWs between the business and Legal.
- Analyzes and proposes definition of contract and sourcing strategy, quality management, supplier selection, and improvement of procurement processes.
- Negotiates favorable terms and conditions with key regional and global suppliers to ensure optimum price competitiveness and service levels are maintained.

**Knowledge and Experience**:

- Purchasing experience (strategic Sourcing/Procurement, Category Management, Contract Management and Supplier Performance Management) typically with more than 4 years.
- Extensive experience supporting those at the mid to executive level.
- Exposure to global operations and/or professional services.
- Exposure to senior executive external client relationships.

**Education**:

- High School Diploma/A Levels/HND or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Accredited Purchasing Practitioner (APP) or appropriate Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) certification or equivalent qualification required.
