**Summary**:
**Compensation**: Pay in (US Dollars) DOE

**Contract Phase**:
Initially, you will be engaged as a contractor working remotely. You will need to register with Argentine tax authorities and choose an appropriate tax regime, such as Monotributo or the general tax regime (Responsable Inscripto). You will be responsible for issuing invoices for the services you provide and will receive payment in US dollars. Once our Buenos Aires office is established, we plan to give this position the opportunity to transition into an employee.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain server-side logic using PHP frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable PHP code adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Design, implement, and manage relational databases, primarily MySQL, including schema creation, data migration, and query optimization.
- Ensure data integrity and implement robust data validation, storage, and retrieval mechanisms.
- Conduct regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning.
- Document and maintain API specifications, ensuring comprehensive and up-to-date information for internal and external use.
- Implement security measures for APIs, including authentication, authorization, and data encryption.
- Integrate backend logic with frontend components, ensuring smooth data flow and functionality alignment.
- Support frontend teams by providing backend endpoints and functionalities required for user interfaces.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks, ensuring efficient processing and mínimal latency in backend operations.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring issues and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
- Maintain comprehensive logs and reports of issues, resolutions, and system changes.
- Participate in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Write and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests to ensure code robustness and reliability.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes.
- Document development processes, system architecture, and code changes thoroughly for future reference and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, release notes, and API guides.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and data privacy laws in all backend operations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, frontend development, and quality assurance, to align backend development with overall project goals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on backend development progress, issues, and solutions.
- Participate in team meetings, providing insights, sharing knowledge, and contributing to discussions on project planning and problem-solving.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in PHP, backend development technologies, and industry trends.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a PHP Developer, with a focus on backend development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP and PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git for code management and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex backend issues.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring code quality and reliability.
- Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for integration purposes.
