Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

- Broad technical knowledge and skills in onshore, specifically in design input development, structural integrity assessment, analysis, supporting components (e.g. foundations) including geotechnical engineering; related infrastructure elements such as drainage or roads; fabrication, construction, installation & transportation support; startup, operation & decommissioning engineering support
- Familiar with various types of onshore facilities and their basic design requirements.
- Maintains basic data sheets, design documentation, supplier drawings, P&IDs, and facility layouts.
- Proactively uses the Civil & Structural Community of Practice (CoP) for learning and improving technical competency.
- Performs or reviews evaluation, analysis, or design calculations of routine Civil & Structural systems.
- Performs calculations or peer review on analysis, design, construction, installation, or modification of Civil & Structural systems / components.
- Provides scope of work / resolutions to design / construction / installation deviation under supervision
- Develops, coordinates, or supervises complex geotechnical site investigations, associated laboratory testing, and reports.
- Identifies design requirements and applicable industry Codes & Standards, including Chevron Engineering Standards.
- Develops Basis of Design (BOD) related to Civil & Structural Systems.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Civil & Structural discipline related computer software.
- Provides resolutions to design / construction / installation deviations
- May serve as a Company representative for the discipline
- Work with Subsurface Land, Surface Land, Geology and environmental consultants to develop staking request.
- Work with Land and other cross-functional groups as necessary to finalize staking and siting of facilities as well as routing of pipelines and flowlines

Experience and personal & Technical Skills:

- A minimum of 10 years of Engineering and Civil Design of surface facilities for Oil & Gas production Companies. Experience on leading projects for Civil, Structural and Geotechnical Engineering discipline of engineering contractors or O&G operators
- Good written and verbal communications skills that enable effective communication with all levels of the organization, from work crews to top management.
- Ability to identify, define problems, and provides solutions to the client through clear and precise communication. Develop clear technical documents such as equipment specifications sheet, project or facility description, and guidelines.
- Strong background and understanding of O&G technical standards API and local regulations.

Required Qualifications:

- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Civil Engineering for Upstream projects.
- Fluent with Civil design software (Autocad, Civil 3D, structural software).
- Fluent with topographic survey.
- English speaking and writing skills
- Leadership skills demonstrated by having projects leading roles tracked experience

Work Location.
- Should be able to frequent travel to field in El Trapial and cover field activities including site inspections, operational procedures, construction review, PSSR, commissioning, and start up.
