The Facility Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining an adequate work environment, ensuring the integrity of the employees, keeping the facilities always safe, operational, clean, and aesthetically pleasing.

This position is responsible for using the standards and guidelines with the best practices in the maintenance of buildings and equipment, as well as security and protection measures.


**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Maintains a complete inventory of equipment; develops, implements, and monitors preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment operation; and determines replacement, repair, and maintenance needs.
- Interprets and maintains facilities in accordance with applicable building, health, safety, fire, and environmental codes and regulations; initiates the required corrective action.
- Coordinate parking programs at single, or multiple facilities.
- Directs, supervises, and instructs security personnel in the maximum use of labor using efficient technologies and work techniques.
- Estimate the cost of materials and labor in the operation and maintenance.
- Recommends, directs, and enforces management policies and procedures to ensure harmonious employee relations.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and controls the work activity of the facilities management area as prescribed by professional standards; recommends and reviews work procedures to meet the needs of the service.
- Reviews building maintenance contracts, supervises the activities of service employees, and ensures compliance with contract specifications. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- Identifies staff training and development needs and ensures training is obtained.
- Provides information for the development of long-term planning and budgeting information.
- Implement a scheduled maintenance program for the facilities.
- Ensure facility maintenance by documenting periodic facility inspections, including parking, equipment, and security operations.
- Ensure the development and implementation of the security/risk/emergency management plan to include audits, security checks and drills, equipment maintenance and other exercises, as appropriate.
- Ensure the efficiency of the daily maintenance operation by monitoring the cleanliness of all facilities, including garbage removal and tasks such as mechanical, electrical and plumbing repairs and vendor coordination, as appropriate.
- Matches budget, equipment, supplies, and human resources to needs; sets priorities within the building management program.
- Guarantee an adequate security presence and/or employee protection measures.
- Participate in leadership activities, support employee engagement, and promote a solutions-based approach.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
Bachelor's degree in administration preferred

Experience: 3 years of facilities management experience.

English level (medium to high, writing and speaking)

Digital data management (microsoft, excel, powerpoint, project, SAP)

**Skills and abilities**:

- Strong knowledge in maintenance and administration
- Well versed in facility management and maintenance operations best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
