Lead Developer for Embedded IOT Application and Related Microservices
We are looking for a technically strong individual to function as a lead developer. This developer will require not only expert-level software engineering skills but also a high level of self-motivation and the ability to consistently deliver while working with an increased amount of autonomy. They will be expected to be self-driven to take the initiative and propose new solutions, architectures, and tenaciously dig into problems and bugs to find solutions. This role requires a mix of finding and fixing issues with legacy code as well as heavy refactoring and possible migration of portions of the code from one software ecosystem to another. They will need to be comfortable testing the software to both find issues and validated fixes. Issues (and stories, tickets, bug reports) will often be under-defined and the developer will need to have the ability to understand the big picture and overall objectives and also have the skills required to articulate the right technical solution to the problem or need at hand. The developer will work closely with senior architects, engineering managers, and team leaders and will be expected to provide sound recommendations on technical solutions.

Strong engineering or computer science background
Capability to provide technical leadership, explaining advanced concepts to other team members and participating in defining architectures
Ability to dive into legacy code to understand behavior and then document findings or explain the code to others
Experience working with resource-constrained environments
Excellent communicator & team player with good English language skills

**Moderate or better level**: Development for Linux environments, headless unmanned, resource-constrained devices, including ARM Comfort and familiarity with C# and recent.NET framework releases Unit testing, automated testing Understanding of embedded target considerations, such as appropriate filesystems, flash wear, RTCs & time synchronization TCP/IP networking SSL/TLS, security best practices, and encryption concepts Familiarity with modern software development processes such as DevOps pipelines Web UI frameworks

**Nice to Have Experience**: Blazor Microsoft Azure Industrial fieldbus protocols such as Modbus, OPC-UA, EtherCAT
