ERM is seeking a motivated and well-rounded Social Principal Consultant to join our team in Salta - Argentina.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support in the development of ERM’s social impact in mining and other sectors projects of clients in Argentina, working closely with ERM’s other technical community leaders.
- Support in the management of team members and development of their technical skills.
- Maintain existing client relationships as well as grow new client portfolios in Argentina and more broadly resulting in the growth of ERM’s opportunity pipeline. This will require an individual with good communication skills, client/market understanding and proposal development skills.
- Provide guidance in mentoring and expansion of the social performance team within Argentina.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Anthropology or related.
- At least 8 years of progressive experience in issues of social performance such as Social Impact Assessment, Social Performance and Labor human rights.
- Strong understanding of national regulations and laws related to stakeholder consultation, land acquisition and Corporate Social Responsibility;
- Good working knowledge of international standards such as the IFC’s Performance Standards on Sustainable Development or the Equator Principles;
- Experience monitoring and evaluating their project compliance with the Applicable Standards.
- Experience in designing and implementing grievance mechanisms.
- Excellent Project Management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to handle multiple assignments while meeting strict deadlines.
- A willingness to travel within Argentina is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and fluency in Spanish and English is mandatory.
