VALIDA CORPORATE FINANCE, a corporate finance advisory firm specializing in strategic and financial advisory services for companies, entrepreneurs and professional investors, is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst to join its Finance & M&A Team.

The position is designed for candidates with initial professional experience in Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services, Investment Banking or Financial Advisory, who are looking to further develop their career in M&A and corporate finance.

The successful candidate will join the team and be directly involved in domestic, international and cross-border M&A transactions, supporting financial analysis, company valuation and deal execution activities, with a progressive level of autonomy and responsibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Junior Financial Analyst will be involved across the different stages of the M&A process, working closely with the deal team and supporting activities including:

  • Financial analysis of target companies and their financial performance, including the review of financial statements, business plans, KPIs and key financial metrics.
  • Preparation and development of financial models, forecasts and transaction-related financial analyses.
  • Preparation of valuation analyses using key methodologies, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), trading comparables and precedent transactions.
  • Preparation of investment and transaction materials, including Information Memoranda, Teasers, Management Presentations, company profiles and other materials supporting M&A transactions.
  • Market and industry analysis, benchmarking, and assessment of key market trends and competitive dynamics.
  • Research, screening and identification of potential buyers, investors and acquisition targets across domestic and international markets.
  • Preparation of analyses, reports and presentations for clients, management teams and investors, as well as buyer/target lists and strategic analysis of potential counterparties.
  • Support in managing the M&A pipeline and the different stages of transaction processes.
  • Support in the preparation and management of Virtual Data Rooms and due diligence processes.
  • Support in deal execution, including interaction with clients, investors, counterparties and other professional advisors involved in the transaction.
  • Support to the deal team throughout the transaction lifecycle, from preliminary analysis through to closing.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance or a related discipline.
  • Previous professional experience, even if limited, specifically within Corporate Finance, M&A, Transaction Services, Investment Banking or Financial Advisory, with direct exposure to financial analysis, company valuation and/or M&A transactions.
  • Professional fluency in Spanish and strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Knowledge of Italian is considered a plus, but is not essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of Corporate Finance principles, financial modelling and company valuation.
  • Knowledge of key valuation methodologies, including DCF.
  • Previous experience using financial databases and market intelligence platforms such as S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg, PitchBook, FactSet or Mergermarket is considered a plus.
  • Strong interest in M&A and corporate finance transactions.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and in an international environment.
