Wyndham Grand Doha West Bay Beach is now seeking a waiter/waitress to join our team in Qatar.

Job Summary

As the waiter/waitress, you are responsible for delivering great service to all guests, being knowledgeable and professional in doing so. You will need to deliver an excellent guest and member experience while having knowledge of menu offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMain Duties
  • Responsible for all preparations before and during service, e.g., preparing tables and polishing cutlery.
  • Keep track of stock and supplies in the restaurant and communicate any shortages.
  • Follow correct reporting procedures if faced with issues.
  • Ensure that Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislation.
  • Take orders from guests, explaining the menu and advising guests on their decisions.
  • Communicate with the kitchen about orders and special requests.
  • If necessary, prepare orders like drinks and bread.
  • Serve at parties and receptions if required.
Other Duties
  • Deal with payments and complete closure paperwork if required.
  • Take reservations in cooperation with the supervisor and hostess/host if necessary.
  • Ensure all guest areas look immaculate.
  • Keep the workplace and surrounding area clean and organized at all times.
  • Maintain proper appearance and grooming while on duty.
  • Monitor operating supplies, equipment, and reduce spoilage and wastage.
  • Be flexible with working hours (e.g., night shifts).
  • Be willing to work in a multi-cultural team.
  • Comply with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts regulations.
  • Share relevant information with Food and Beverage Supervisor & Restaurant Manager in 121's.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Good communication skills.
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Flexible to respond to a range of different work situations.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams.
Education & Experience
  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene regulations.
  • Previous experience of cash handling.
