About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Telecom Project Manager to spearhead their telecommunications projects in the heart of Sandton . This role is crucial for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing complex telecommunications deployments, possess exceptional leadership qualities, and a thorough understanding of project management methodologies. This is a prime opportunity to drive significant projects within a leading organization in the bustling Gauteng financial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for telecommunications initiatives.
- Coordinate and direct the work of project team members, contractors, and vendors.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure the successful deployment and integration of new telecommunications systems and technologies.
- Communicate project progress, status, and outcomes effectively to all stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven working experience in project management within the telecommunications industry.
- Solid understanding of telecommunications technologies, infrastructure, and deployment lifecycles.
- Excellent knowledge of project management software and methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
