Arche Halo Dynamics develops physical-AI and advanced robotic systems for industrial environments. We are looking for a Mechatronics Engineer who enjoys bringing mechanical hardware, electronics, sensors, and software together into a working robot system.
This role involves direct work with physical robots: assembling equipment, connecting sensors, configuring computing hardware, developing software, and testing complete inspection missions.
Our robot platform will be selected according to application requirements. Platforms under consideration include the Unitree B2, DEEP Robotics X30, and other industrial robots.
What you will do
- Help evaluate robot platforms, SDKs, sensor interfaces, and computing requirements.
- Integrate commercial PTZ cameras, thermal imaging devices, gas sensors, and other inspection equipment.
- Set up Qualcomm-based computing hardware and connect it to the robot and payload.
- Assemble and verify power distribution, wiring, connectors, and communication interfaces.
- Configure devices, develop integration code, and perform calibration using manufacturer procedures.
- Develop and integrate the robotics software stack, including ROS 2, mapping, localization, navigation, and perception.
- Adapt existing SDKs and open-source components to the selected hardware.
- Test complete inspection workflows, including sensor capture, robot movement, logging, and failure handling.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, communication, and software issues alongside the mechanical engineer.
- Document setup, configuration, tests, and field operating procedures.
What we are looking for
- A degree in Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline.
- Practical experience with physical hardware, sensors, actuators, or embedded systems.
- Programming ability in Python or C++ and familiarity with Linux.
- Foundational knowledge of ROS 2 and mobile robotics.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and use basic electrical test equipment.
- A methodical approach to troubleshooting and a willingness to learn across disciplines.
Experience with navigation, computer vision, Qualcomm platforms, industrial sensors, or robot SDKs is useful. University projects, internships, robotics competitions, and personal builds count as relevant experience.
You should have a solid foundation in some of these areas and be ready to develop the others. You will contribute across the robotics stack under the CTO’s technical direction, with responsibility growing through demonstrated delivery.
Working arrangement
Hybrid, with regular lab access for hardware integration and robot testing, plus participation in field trials.
