Fleet Mechanic

Join our seasoned mechanic team to perform repairs and maintenance operations on our expanding fleet of cars, vans, trucks, hybrids, and buses.

Vivalon is looking for a Fleet Service Technician Enjoy full-time hours and a consistent schedule. Bring your shop experience and automotive technology education to perform repairs and maintenance operations. We provide job training and support to advance your skills by earning ASE certifications. The job will also include writing repair orders, performing maintenance and repair of electronics, disc brakes and ABS, wheelchair lift operations, MDT (mobile data terminals) servicing, and drive-ability & diagnostic assessments. Additional duties include accurate data entry into fleet software, entries into compliance reports, and shop logs.

• One year or more of experience working as a mechanic at an automotive shop.
• Understand vehicle operating systems and repair procedures.
• Possess a valid California driver's license and have, or be capable of obtaining, a commercial driver's license; have and maintain a clean driving record and be insurable.
• Own a toolset commensurate with the requirements of the position.
• Understand the use of hand tools and power tools and their safe operation.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to perform essential preventive maintenance and repair procedures.
• Have a positive, service-oriented approach, be punctual, and maintain a neat and clean workspace.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, and stretch for long periods; able to lift 75 lbs.
• ASE certifications are desired (for example, HVAC, engine performance, brakes, etc.); Ford experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with fleet maintenance software is desired.
• An automotive or technical school diploma or equivalent certification is desired.

• $30 - $37/hour depending on experience.
