RYZ Labs is looking for aSeniorSoftware Engineerto join one of our client’s teams, from the sports merchandising industry
We’re looking for a SeniorSoftware Engineerto join the Sales & Finance Engineering team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of applications. You’ll help build and evolve a service-oriented, event-driven ecosystem of applications that position their teams to make the most informed decisions about the products they are releasing to their fans.
Their stack primarily uses Elixir with the Phoenix Framework, LiveView frontends, PostgreSQL databases, and an event-based system with RabbitMQ. They deploy on AWS EKS using Terraform and maintain continuous integration and deployment with GitHub Actions.
Key Responsibilities
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Elixir programming language and functional programming concepts.
- Experience building web applications with Phoenix or similar frameworks.
- Interest or experience in CQRS and evented systems.
- Familiarity with database systems and PostgreSQL
- Knowledge of web application security best practices.
- Experience with Git and working with a team (e.g. Pull Requests)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience integrating legacy systems with modern platforms.
- Experience with LiveView is a plus.
- A portfolio or examples of previous Elixir LiveView projects is a plus.
- Conducting thorough code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to team standards.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product and design teams to ensure code meets all customer requirements.
- Breaking down larger projects into smaller tasks for yourself and your team.
- Optimizing application performance and troubleshooting issues.
- Diagnosing and fixing bugs in their services.
