As a BigCommerce Lead, you will drive the development and management of our BigCommerce-based e-commerce platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of e-commerce best practices, and experience leading development teams. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure e-commerce solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Development Efforts
  • BigCommerce Platform Management
  • BigCommerce Development
  • Integration and Customization

Other responsibilities:

  • Serve as the technical lead for all BigCommerce projects.
  • Work closely with designers, developers, and project managers.
  • Manage the BigCommerce platform, including customizations and integrations.
  • Ensure the platform is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Mentor and guide a team of developers.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Lead the design and development of custom BigCommerce themes and plugins.
  • Implement advanced customizations and ensure seamless integration with other systems.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior developers.
  • Collaborate with project managers, designers, and other developers.

Performance Optimization

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Quality Assurance

  • Establish and enforce quality assurance processes.
  • Stay up to date with the latest BigCommerce updates.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless e-commerce experiences.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

  • Deep expertise in BigCommerce development.
  • Experience with RESTful API development.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Knowledge of cloud services and performance optimization techniques.
