We are seeking a professional to contribute to the development of next-generation microbiological products for biotechnological applications. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in microbiology, with a focus on the isolation and characterization of extremophilic bacteria and filamentous fungi. Additionally, experience in designing and executing targeted isolation protocols in enriched cultures for biotech applications is desirable.

HIS/HER MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE

• Design and execute targeted isolation protocols in enriched cultures for biotech applications.
• Isolation, identification, and characterization of filamentous fungi and bacteria from environmental samples.
• Biochemical characterization for potential biotechnological applications.
• Collaborate in organizing and maintaining the collection.

REQUIREMENTS

• PhD or demonstrated experience in the area.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Ability to interpret and summarize scientific results in a clear, concise, and accurate manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Good ability to multi-task and a productive and flexible way of working.
• Interest in an industrial working environment.
• The location is Tucuman, Argentina.
